My name is Maddie Henricksen, I am a Senior here at Iowa State and

I'm from Bettendorf, Iowa. I am on Business Council as well as I am

treasurer of Collegiate Women in Business and I'm involved in

the Salt Company here at Iowa State.

So, I just like the opportunity to meet new students and help them

out with anything that they may need, and so with our 15 different departments,

we are versatile in literally anything. So, we help with academic, personal,

as well as community involvement. So, we make it easier for you

to get involved here at Iowa State, which is one of the things

that has made Iowa State feel like home for me.

I think, one of the things that I enjoy most is, sometimes I'm afraid to ask questions,

even if it may lead to a quick answer or solution to my problem.

So, when students ask me questions and I can help them, it just feels really great that I am able

to share a resource that they might not know about, and so just to

better help them make them feel more welcome to come to the Dean of Students Office

and to ask us more questions.

port in the front of my computer so I didn't want to break that so I just got one of these this was only

My name is Maggie Fournier, I'm responsible for human resources for the Lévis

Convention Center and Hôtel.

Here, we host a wide array of events, from small meetings with about

a dozen people to large conventions with 500-something attendees.

Before using Agendrix for scheduling, we relied on Excel.

Managing employee availability and communication was frustrating and challenging

when it came to scheduling.

We had to deliver schedules by SMS

and call those who didn't have a cellphone.

So, this would take us forever, sometimes two or three hours, and

that was just for the first version of the schedule; we'd sometimes have to do this for two or three

different versions.

Agendrix allowed us to create and communicate our schedules about three times fast,

so, we really gained a lot

of time.

Now, each supervisor is in charge of their own department for schedule creation

and publication, making everything much easier, on top of taking a huge burden

off the shoulders of the person whose task it was.

About 70% of our 120 employees have another job or

are still in school and lead very active lifestyles, which means they have busy schedules

with highly variable availability.

Being flexible with employee availability

gives us a real edge when hiring.

This is how Agendrix really allows us to better support our employees.

It lets us build a certain level of closeness with our employees, and our flexibility

makes them happy to dedicate more of their time to us.

We think it's important to take some time to show Agendrix to each new employee

to give them an idea of how to use the app

before we send them an invitation.

We tell them that making good use of the software helps us save time

on follow-ups and such, which let us spend more time

on the floor to improve processes and train employees, which

is really important to us; ultimately, Agendrix improved

how we run the entire business.

When we hire people who have never seen Agendrix or aren't really used to

the Internet, I tell them that even my grandmother could figure it out,

and that's often enough to reassure them.

What we like the most about Agendrix is the "seen" shift

and message function.

It lets us ensure that employees read the messages we send

and see the shifts we assign, which is really useful to us.

Here's my message to those who have discovered Agendrix but are unsure

whether it might benefit them: the amount of time we save

with this software is unbelievable.

Communicating with employees unbelievably easy,

information can be sent out quickly, and needs - our own

as much as our employees' - are easily fulfilled.

More than anything, the liver and kidney functions are almost back to normal
