These Changes To Editing/Editing Sensitivity Are WILD... (Fortnite New Update 7.20) - Duration: 11:18.

Hey what is going on guys, in this video today we're gonna be going over and discussing the

brand new update in fortnite, update 7.20.

Last week I made a video discussing content update 7.10 #3, and in that video, I claimed

that it was probably the biggest and best update of season 7 so far.

In terms of being the best, that may still be the case, however, I can say with 100%

certainty that update 7.20 now definitively owns the title of biggest update of season

7.

There's so much important stuff in here including massive changes to editing, new weapons and

items, awesome bug fixes, major changes to snipers, weapon and item rarity adjustments,

and so much more.

So, without further ado let's get right into breaking all of it down.

Alright, so let's start this video off by discussing all of the changes to the way editing

works implemented in 7.20.

This may honestly be the most notable and controversial part of the entire update.

So here are all of those changes: First off, "Building sensitivity now also applies to

edit mode."

Next, "Editing will no longer interrupt gun fire and pickaxe swings."

And finally, Editing a structure will now begin without waiting for a response from

the server.

This should cut down on ghost shots before editing and make it a smoother overall experience.

Confirming the edit will still require sending data to the server and will still be impacted

by high ping or poor server performance."

So let's go in order and briefly discuss each of these changes, because all of them are

pretty important, especially the first and the last one.

So building sensitivity now also being your editing sensitivity is something that we knew

was going to be in this update, since Epic employees announced it beforehand.

Having a custom editing sensitivity was something that people have been wanting for a while

now, because it never really made a ton of sense for your aiming sensitivity to also

be your editing sensitivity, with no option to change it.

However, the change that was implemented in 7.20 feels like a somewhat lazy solution to

me.

I'll admit I don't know the first thing about game design so maybe I'm wrong here, but,

how hard could it really have been to just give editing sensitivity it's own custom slider.

What I'm seeing from a lot of people right now that play on controller, is that they

love their building sensitivity for building, but they don't really like it for editing.

There are a lot of people out there that play on something like 8-8 or 9-8 x and y sensitivity,

and then to build even faster, made their building sensitivity multiplier something

in the 1.7 - 2.0 range.

This means that these players have been editing on around 8 sensitivity for the last few months,

and now, have to learn how to edit with a sensitivity in around the 14-18 range.

So honestly, for those people, this change which was intended to editing easier and better

for players, actually ended up making it harder and worse.

Now, I'm guessing that over time we'll all get used, at least to some degree, to our

new editing sensitivity.

But I have a feeling that some players are going to be so uncomfortable when they hop

on for the first time with this new update, that they'll basically be forced to change

their building sensitivity.

It really brings me back a few seasons ago, to when your x and y sensitivity was both

your aiming and your building sensitivity, so you kinda were forced to sacrifice aim

for building speed or vice versa.

Maybe I'm overreacting a bit here, but, the people I saw complaining about this the most

were issa and kamo who are both pro controller players, so I'll take their word for it.

And again, I think the best solution for every body here would have been a simple editing

sensitivity slider.

But, despite all that, there are major positives with these other editing changes.

Editing no longer interrupting gun fire and pickaxe swings is apparently a nice little

change for people that play on high ping.

Before, you would have to wait for a pickaxe swing to fully finish to begin editing a structure,

which would become really awkward when you were lagging.

But now, you no longer have to wait for that, so a nice little change there.

Speaking of changes geared towards players with high ping, probably the biggest change

to editing is the fact that editing a structure will now begin without waiting for a server

response.

After doing some research, that basically means that now, when you press the button

to edit, the editing menu will show up immediately no matter how high your ping is, but the actual

edit won't apply until the server confirms it.

For example, if you have 130 ping, you'll be able to edit a window into a wall just

like someone with normal ping would be able to, but the window won't open immediately,

it'll be delayed by your ping.

In the past when you went to edit on really bad ping, you'd frequently have the problem

of pressing the button to open the edit menu, but, it wouldn't open until a few seconds

later which would just absolutely screw up every thing.

This isn't the perfect solution because your bad ping will still end up hurting you, but,

it's definitely better now, and this is probably the best that Fortnite could realistically

do without making massive changes to their servers.

And maybe it's just confirmation bias or a placebo, but, editing in general does feel

smoother now.

So that covers everything in this patch that has to do with editing.

Moving on, the next biggest part of 7.20 in my opinion is the addition of the "gliders"

item into the game.

This is basically Epic's way of re-adding re-deploy, but, at the same time making it

less powerful.

Gliders is a blue rarity item which takes up an inventory spot, and grants you the ability

to re-deploy up to 10 times.

This was another feature that was announced before the patch actually released, and initially

people were concerned about it.

If you watched my video on the mobility problem in Fortnite, you would know that theres simply

already too much mobility in this game.

However, I do think that the gliders item in general is fairly balanced.

I like the fact that it's only blue rarity because it makes it less RNG based than mobility

items like the rift-to-go, grappler, and launch pad.

And, the fact that it takes up 1 of your 5 precious inventory spots makes it so that

you're sacrificing something to use it.

So, I don't think that we need anymore mobility in the game right now, but, at least this

is a fairly balanced addition.

Nexr, we're gonna rapid fire list off all of the changes to weapon and item rarity,

and briefly discuss the important ones.

Balloons changed from purple to blue rarity, Stink Bombs also changed from purple to blue

rarity, Scoped AR changed from blue/purple to green/blue rarity.

Traps drop chance from floor loot increased from 3.98% to 4.73%, Cozy campfire drop chance

from floor loot increased from 0.26% to 0.73%, launch pad drop chance from floor loot increased

from 0.53% to 0.98%, and finally mounted turret drop chance from floor loot decreased from

0.8% to 0.73%.

So I really don't like the rarity decrease to the balloons, stink bombs, or scoped AR.

I think that balloons and stink bombs are fairly annoying items to deal with, especially

in a good players hands, and purple rarity always seemed fine.

And even though the scoped AR is one of the worst weapons in the game, so it kinda makes

sense to lower the rarity, but, all that does is make them drop more often, which is something

that I don't think anyone wants.

I think vaulting the scoped AR would have been a much better choice, because there's

already so many ARs in the game.

I do however like all of the adjustments done to the drop chances of all the other items

mentioned in 7.20, but my real question when looking at these percentages, is what is the

point of rarity if it doesn't determine drop chance.

Why did the blue rarity campfire have a 0.26% drop chance while the gold rarity mounted

turret had a 0.8% drop chance?

It's good to see that they're making the values a little more related to rarity now, but,

why not just make the campfire gold rarity if you're gonna give it such a low drop chance?

I don't really get the whole purpose of the way they're currently doing it, but, maybe

that's just me.

Snipers also received an interesting little change in 7.20, which could actually end up

being a big deal.

The Bolt Action Sniper Rifle, Suppressed Sniper Rifle, Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle, and Hunting

Rifle now all have the same projectile trajectory as the Heavy Sniper Rifle.

Due to the fact that the heavy sniper has the easiest projectile trajectory to hit shots

with, A lot of smart people seem to think, that this could end up making a mostly irrelevant

weapon like the hunting rifle actually pretty powerful.

So, we'll have to wait and see if that ends up actually being a big deal.

Some other notable changes include: Various improvements to the way ziplines work.

Now you can change direction without needing to jump and rather than moving at max speed

as soon as you enter the zipline, you now accelerate overtime to reach max speed.

There's A nice little quality of life change to building, now in any situations where walls

are built mostly underground, an extra piece will be built for free on top of that piece. This

will occurs whenever the wall is built less than 30% above ground.

Also, An adjustment to the minigun where it overheats after 6 seconds of continuous fire,

but, now requires a little less less wind-up time.

Sensitivity now goes to 3 decimal places instead of 2, just for a tad bit extra precision.

Vehicle collision and destruction damage will no longer directly be applied to health and

will prioritize shield if you have it.

And, on top of all of that, there are a bunch of other meaningful bug fixes in the update

which deal with things like planes, ziplines, animation, sound, and all of that good stuff.

Plus, there was also a weapon added to the game in this update, the scoped revolver which

comes in purple and gold rarity, but, it basically just seems like a bootleg deagle.

So, I definitely wasn't lying when I said that this update was just absolutely jam packed

with meaningful changes.

So, I hope you guys enjoyed this video.

And if you watched the entire thing be sure to let me know with a comment down in the

comment section below.

I wanna know your general thoughts on update 7.20, but specifically, how you think this

update impacted editing?

Do you guys feel like your editing sensitivity is way too high now or do you like the changes

and agree that editing is just generally a lot smoother and better now?

whatever the heck you want, and I, will catch you guys next time.

5 MISTAKES Newbies Make with Facebook Ads - 2019 - Duration: 15:47.

What's up you guys Jason Wardrop here in this video

I want to break down

Five of the biggest mistakes that I see newbies make when it comes to Facebook

Advertising now you guys been following my channel here for a while

You know, I have a lot of videos on Facebook ass Facebook Ads manager pixel tracking all that good stuff

And so I get a lot of comments

right and I

Hear what people are focusing on I see what people are really wanting to go through and accomplish with their business

And so I went through and I made a list of five different things that I've seen that people make comments on

Where they're kind of got things a little bit backwards when it comes to Facebook advertising

So in order to help you with your business in 2019 moving forward

I want to share these five big mistakes with you so you can hopefully avoid them and

Get on the right track with your paid advertising because guys let's face it when you're putting money into your business

You're investing money into ads and a marketing that those are very valuable dollars. We can't waste this money

So if we have the wrong of wrong objective, then you're just you're gonna fail from the start, right?

I say it's a number of times in my channel

But stephen r.covey says begin with the end in mind and we could have all the best intentions

But if we are making these small mistakes, then we're really not never gonna get to our goal

So let's dive in I'm gonna cover the five biggest mistakes. I see newbies make when it comes to Facebook advertising

All right

so the first biggest mistake and I actually saw a comment on this just a couple of days ago and

Someone comment on one of my videos saying hey Jason

what is the best marketing objective when setting up a Facebook ad campaign to get more likes and

Followers on my Instagram account I believe is on the Instagram account might have been Facebook page, but guys, honestly

it really applies to any social media network, or if you're trying to get more YouTube subscribers more Instagram followers more any of this and

The truth is guys

The money is not in the number of followers that you have then the money is not in the number of subscribers

Okay. I know it was several people with well over a hundred thousand well over 500 thousand subscribers

that make pennies the dollar compared to some people with much smaller channels and the same thing goes for

Instagram if you just have a lot of followers

But you don't have the business sense the business savvy on the backend and know how to actually turn those followers into money

Then it really doesn't matter. If you have five hundred thousand followers or a million followers on Instagram. You still have no business

So the key is I would really understand of how to go through and start generating

Sales from a small following as opposed to going through and saying well

I'm gonna first focus on getting this massive following and then I'm gonna go and make money

There's not a quicker way that you're gonna go broke then focusing on just likes or followers on whatever social network

You're trying to build believe me guys. I talk with a lot of Instagram influencers and

It's crazy how they have they've grown these big followings, but they're still broke because they don't know how to monetize it

They don't know how to sell anything to those people. And so this big old following it just it really doesn't benefit them whatsoever

So the first biggest mistake guys is going for likes or followers and having that be your sole focus

What I would go for instead is to go and build an email list

Because if you're building an email list

Then you're able to have that way of communication with those people

being able to go through an easier sell things to those people and you

Can leverage that email list to build your following on YouTube on Instagram on Facebook?

Whatever platform you want to go through and grow and that's exactly what I did guys where I went through and I was only focused

On building my email list and then on the back end after somebody already opted into my email list, I would recommend

Hey join, my facebook group, which I was able to grow to over 7,000 real estate agents in just a few months

And then now more recently I've been focused on hey, go subscribe to my youtube channel

We've got tons of free content over there and I've been able to grow that to over 20,000 subscribers in the last 12 months

Which obviously I get it. There's a lot of chance to grew a whole lot faster than I did

But you know

It's a good start and honestly if you look at it

I'm able to go through and

Using the strategy make a lot more money than some of the channels that might be ten times the size of my channel

Okay, so enough of that but the second biggest mistake

I see newbies with Facebook. Advertising is not focusing on the right

Audiences right now Facebook they want to help you out

They want to give you all this material to go through and be successful

But by giving you all this information all of these different audiences you can go through and target a lot of times

That's what keeps you from actually being successful

Now about a year ago Facebook took away the demographic targeting and everyone freaked out and everyone's like oh man

like

Facebook ads are done they're dead and honestly like for me and a lot of my friends that like

Spend a lot of money on advertising

It really did it faces faze us at all because we're not going through and targeting any of those demographics

and so if you were then

you know that like that was like not a good strategy with your business because now you can't do those targeting and then even with

The interests of people interested in basketball or people interested in football or whatever the topic might be

Everyone else is going through and clicking those same things of saying hey

I want to target people that are interested in real estate or people interested in making money online or whatever it is

You're fighting with so many other Facebook

Advertisers and it's this massive red ocean where you want to create your own blue ocean

So what you want to do when it comes to targeting?

Specific audiences with your Facebook advertising you want to focus on building your own custom audiences

Now what is a custom audience this is anyone that has been a previous client

Okay, maybe they bought some product for you or they have used your service or whatever. It might be

Anyone that has been a lead

So you've got maybe their their phone or email address and you're able to go through and give that to Facebook and say hey

Here's here's like a list of people that are my potential clients that I want to go through a market - it could be anyone

That visits your website anybody has interacted with your Facebook page

These are all custom audiences because they've already had interaction with your business

And so it's kind of like more of that

Retargeting play which is basically advertising like Amazon where you go and check out a product

Now all of a sudden you're seeing this product all over the place, right?

So you're able to do that with your marketing you're having these custom audiences that you're showing it to this very targeted

Group as opposed to hey, I want to just target everyone that is real estate agent, right?

It's just so broad and you're really not gonna see that creative results

And then what you do is you take this custom audience and then you start and you focus on a 1% look like audience

So what the way that works is you go through and say hey Facebook here is the custom audience

Here's like all my leads and I want you to find other people that look

just like these leads so they have the same interest maybe the same demographics and even though you can't target by like

Financials and if they're a homeowner or anything like that

Facebook still knows that data. They still have all this data on everyone

And so they use this data to go help you create these look like audiences

So this is the big key when it comes to targeting is

Focusing on your custom audiences and then when it comes time to scale focus on those

Look-alike audience because that 1% look like audience that is 2 million people inside that audience which were most business owners

That's we mourned enough people to go through and advertise to and you really don't need a scale beyond the 1% look like audience

until you're spending more than

$2,000 per day on your advertising and so guys a lot of people don't really ever get to

$2,000 per day on your advertisement. Ok, so number 3 guys and I would even say this is not just for newbies

This is pretty much intermediate and even some advanced people and this is something that I struggled with for a long time

and this is not

Having tracking set up. Okay. This is not knowing your numbers

So pretty much my whole strategy for the last like two three years was going through and saying, okay

I'm gonna put X amount into Facebook ads and as long as I'm making money back out, then I'm good, right?

So let's say I put a thousand bucks into you advertising for the week or whatever

it was back in the day and then if I made two thousand or three thousand dollars back out and like

Perfect. I made money

I'm good

And I'm just gonna pocket it and I wasn't really keeping track of anything the thing about this is it adds a lot of stress

Unneeded stress to your life

Because you just have no idea where you're at with your business the same thing goes if you're like trying to lose weight

But you've never weighed yourself so you don't know if like you're actually losing weight or not. You're not tracking your calories

You're not like actually taking measurements. You're not doing any of that stuff. Then you could go three months

You could've lost ten pounds, but by just looking at yourself in the mirror, you can't really tell that you lost weight

So you got to go through you got a measure

You got a track you got to go through on a daily basis track. How much money did you spend?

How much money did you make how many leaves did you generate?

What's the lifetime value of those leads and you've got to have all this tracking in place?

And do it on a day to day basis and guys

I started tracking in detail a few months ago and man. It has been like the biggest

Revelation of me it's been so much easier on just my mental state

and I've been able to be a lot more confident in scaling my ad so scaling my business has been a lot better and

it's just brought me a lot more peace of mind of thinking like oh if I had like maybe a bad webinar one week or

Something like that. Hey, don't worry. It's all fine. Just look at the numbers. You still made money, right?

so that's a big thing is number three is

Tracking go through make sure you're tracking and don't just rely on the numbers inside the Facebook as manager

But actually make like a Google sheets that you're tracking. Hey, how many leads were added to my email list?

Every single day or every single week depend on how much money you're spending

If you're not spending a ton of money, you don't have to do it every single day

Just track for the whole week maybe track on Fridays for the previous Friday to that Thursday and what you want to do

So you're not going through and checking your numbers non-stop throughout the day. It's just wait till that next morning

Like let's say 9:00 a.m. And then go check out

Okay

How many sales came in through stripe or PayPal or whatever business you're in or how many leads were added to my business how much?

Money was spent on Facebook

how much was spent on Google and

You're just going through and tracking all those numbers and so you can have a really good pulse on your business

Where at if you can scale when you can scale how much you can scale and all of that

alright, so the number four biggest mistake most newbies make when it comes to Facebook advertising is

Once a kid, I'm going to quote stephen r.covey and they don't begin with the end in mind

So they go through and they're like, oh man, I'm gonna get you know likes or leads or whatever it might be

But after they generate the lead they have no idea what they're gonna do with this lead

Okay

and

this is something that I

Messed up with about three years ago when I was kind of really diving into all this stuff

is I would go through and I'd run ads and

then I had some like low ticket offer of like fifty bucks and I didn't have like that full funnel concept set up and so

Like I had that one fifty dollar item and honestly guys if you're selling just like one fifty dollar item

You're gonna lose money every single time

So you need to have that whole funnel laid out of what that looks like, okay

Are you gonna be selling them a high ticket item?

Are you gonna be staking them through a lot of lower ticket items are you a real estate?

Agent and you're gonna go through and try to book appointments

From those leads and then sell them obviously a home which is gonna be somewhat of a high ticket item, right?

And make all that money back. So

That's another big mistake

I see a lot of Facebook advertising newbies make is they go through and they just throw money at Facebook Ads thinking that they're gonna

Magically make money because all these guys on YouTube are making money with Facebook Ads

But if you don't begin with the end in mind if you don't understand the funnel if you don't understand where you're taking these people

And you don't have that all mapped out

You're once again, you're gonna lose money every single time with this, right?

So the fifth and final principle of what you need to go through and make sure you're avoiding when it comes to Facebook

advertising if you're a complete newbie or even if you're kind of like in that intermediate space is

Don't have your Facebook advertising budget, too

scattered and

What I mean by that is let's say you're going through and you're trying to be the next russell brunson

And you've got your webinar funneling. You got a book funnel. You got a challenge funnel

You've got all these different funnels because russell says funnels are great. Which funnels are great

I'm not trying to bash Russell or anything like that because he's a great guy. There's a lot of great concepts there

But as you're starting out and you don't have this massive advertising budget

You need to focus ninety to ninety five percent of your marketing budget on

One single funnel nothing else, okay

the only reason why

Russell can do that is because he has people full-time to go through and run his Facebook Ads

They can focus on all that stuff. They have his massive budget

they have this whole team that can go through and create all these different funnels test out different offers and

Like it's just way more than you or me could probably go through and handle right now

So if you only have let's say a hundred dollars a day or a thousand dollars a day or even five thousand dollars a day

Focus on one funnel, okay

And and most that money can go through cold audiences and then have a little bit of that that budget going towards

Retargeting the people that you've already interacted with you if you take a look at guys like Sam ovens, for example

Sam ovens has been able to grow extremely fast and he has one funnel just one funnel and all of his ads go into this

One webinar funnel and he has nothing else

k

He has one webinar funnel that sells a two thousand dollar ticket item

Then he has an upsell to a six thousand dollar ticket item and then he's got an upsell to his mastermind program. That's it

That's as simple as his business. He doesn't have a book funnel

He's that I'm a challenge funnel doesn't have any of these other funnels

It's literally the one webinar funnel and then once people get through there

He has the upsell to the six thousand dollars and then to his

$25,000 mastermind or whatever it is. And so that's it and guys he spends a lot of money every single day

I was with him this past summer in New York

And he was spending like almost a hundred thousand dollars per day on advertising now. That was Facebook Instagram and

Google and all this stuff but guys that much money on just one funnel

Okay, so when you're going through and trying to start all these different funnels and trying to scatter your your focus and all that stuff

You're gonna just fail so quickly

So focus on one funnel don't scatter your advertising budget because you've got $20 going here torn Ellen's going here

$20 are gonna hear you're not gonna get enough information and enough data to know which funnel is actually working
