Zážitek z hudby není jen její poslech.
Vnímáme i výrazy ve tváøích okolních lidí,
jejich reakce na hudbu,
jejich tanec…
Proè tedy, ksakru, slyšící populace tvrdí,

To je ujetý!

Lidé s vadou sluchu a neslyšící to chtìjí taky zažívat!

Vy to dìláte? Tìžko.

Silnì vìøím, že èím víc lidí si uvìdomí existenci komunity,
která je ignorovaná, diskriminovaná, opomíjená…
Èím èastìji lidem pøipomeneme,
aby se o tuto komunitu, kterou nikdo neposlouchá, zajímali,
tím více si to uvìdomí a získají jinou perspektivu.
Má to velice blahodárné úèinky pro všechny navzájem.
Je to hojivé.

Bratwurst Sauerkraut Pie / Bavarian BBQ Recipe / The BBQ Lady - Duration: 8:52.
Hello and welcome everybody to a new episode of "The BBQ Lady".
This is the Bavarian bratwurst pie with sauerkraut.
Yes, the Bavarian bratwurst pie.
And now I will show you how I prepared it, enjoy!
If you have Nuremburger Bratwurst you usually have mashed potatoes and sauerkraut coming with them.
I've already prepared all this.
You can find the recipe for the mashed potatoes in the info-box down below...
...and I will also display another video showing how I refined my sauerkraut.
That's how it's usually served, then there is mustard also, but I thought:
How could I turn all these ingredients into a One-pot-dish?
And that's when I came across the idea of creating this pie and named it Bavarian bratwurst pie.
It's a different way of preparing this dish and maybe even an exciting one, because usually...
...you just grill sausages by laying them on the grill.
Now let's check out the ingredients.
Let's put the sausages aside for a second.
I prepared a dough, you can also find this recipe in the info-box of this video.
I wrapped it in foil and placed it in the refrigerator. Tthis dough is very easy to prepare.
It's a short pastry dough and I think it fits perfectly to our topic.
Today I will prepare the Bavarian bratwurst pie in a pan but you can also use little baking dishes or other containers.
I'm sure you will come up with something.
First, we'll brush some butter into the pan.
All the way up to the edges, because the dough is pulled all the way up.
I will also put this over here for a second and then we will take care of the dough.
The dough ball gets unwrapped and separated in two halves.
Then, form another ball from one of the halves.
Just placing some flour on my work sheet so the dough doesn't stick.
As a next step I'll press on it, so the dough's surface is smooth.
And now you work on it with the rolling pin and spread it thin.
Let's place the dough in the pan.
It may definitely extend over the edges a little bit.
Doesn't look too bad, maybe you can do it better.
After this we place the sauerkraut in, but drain it, so that not a lot of liquid gets into the pan.
I also added some juniper berries, I'll take these out right now, it wouldn't be too nice biting down on those.
I also added some bay leaves as well.
Here you can already see that, we obviously take that out too.
We have a very nice portion of sauerkraut in our pan.
It's about placing a layer of mashed potatoes, I have of course let it cool down first.
That's why it looks solid and I will just tower it all on there.
It will surely become a big portion; this could fill up plenty people.
What' s important is that it's constructed this way so it's all kind of hilly.
A couple of butter flakes, this will make it even juicier.
You may know this butter flakes thing from the shepherd's pie, I will display a recipe in the top right corner.
Unlike the use of butter for shepherd's pie, here we want the surface to become a little brown.
The dough is now spreaded thin and I will cut a X in the middle.
You will soon see why I did it.
I will set it on top and try to close it all up.
You may roll this up so that it looks nicer when it comes off the grill.
Now we open this up…
…and brush the dough so it will take on a nice color when grilling it.
I already preheated the grill.
Just still brushing the dough a little bit…
Towards the end, to meet the requirements of the name Bavarian Bratwurst Pie, we add the bratwursts.
These are just creatively set on this pie so that all sausages get some color on all sides.
Here too.
And this rather unusual meal will now make its way onto the grill at around 200° Celsius...
... (which is about 390 degrees Fahrenheit) into indirect heat for around 40 minutes.
You are sceptical?
Just wait.
50 minutes have passed, I was talking about 40 minutes earlier but I let it sit in there...
...for another ten minutes so that the bratwursts get a very nice color.
I already peaked inside and now we will take a look together.
This is how it looks now, I'm totally happy with that.
I will let it cool down for a bit and then I will taste test it.
I am facing a big challenge!
My cameraman said earlier that it smells like we are at Mc Donald's.
I really don't know if I can take that as a compliment and if it demonstrates my cooking skills.
I am not sure, yet.
But I think that it smells good and that it looks good, too.
Even a little bit funny to be honest.
So let's test it and start cutting it.
And just like a real pie we will start cutting it classically.
My cameraman recommended taking of the sausages first - but I will just start cutting it all together.
And get myself a little piece from it.
You may be creative here and chose for yourself how you want to eat it.
I will slide in here with my cake lifter and get out the piece.
Yeah, it looks very good.
Smells good.
I can definitely say that the ingredients work together very well.
Now I don't have to tell you how bratwursts taste, but it's all about how it looks afterwards in this case.
Mhm.
Maybe a little bit mustard to it…?
I got to say, it tastes so good.
I have to try again.
Mhm.
It may look a little different, but it tastes very juicy and the bratwursts took on a very nice roasting flavor too.
Also the refining of the sauerkraut is noticeable, the mashed potatoes prepared with nutmeg also taste very good.
I have to say it's a very nice one-pot-dish.
Definitely try it out and recreate it.
Let me know in the comments how you liked it, that would make me happy and I hope we will see each other again.
If not done yet: please leave me a subscription, thanks so much.
Take care says your BBQ Lady

Why are you wearing a shirt on it?
Ashwin, Don't you this the t-shirt is a little oversized?
Superb Body
No I mean what did you think when you wore it?
Sir, would you like to eat something?
Or you are on diet?
Ashwin what have you wore?
I didn't want you to wear the t-shirt and go
I had came to the door to stop you
I won't make the duster of your t-shirt
Did you find the duster to clean the computer?

Voices of Meltingpot | John Perkins - Duration: 6:03.
My classmates would go home at Christmas vacation
and they would come back with these amazing stories of parties and orgies and women and so on...
This is a boy's school so there's all kinds of crazy stories.
And I'd spend Christmas vacation throwing a basketball at a gym.
So I always wanted to have what I thought they had.
So I went to business school. When I graduated from business school
I was recruited by a big consulting firm
and I was flying first class around the world.
I was staying in the best hotels. I was having dinner with presidents
and beautiful women.
Before I got the job I was interviewed on a lie detector for two days.
And they knew that what I wanted
was money, power and sex.
And my job was really what we call an economic hitman.
Go to countries that have resources our corporations want,
like oil or gas,
and arrange huge loans to that country from the World Bank
and the money had to be used to pay US corporations to built infrastructure projects in those countries.
But the money never actually went to the country.
At the beginning I thought what I was doing was the right thing.
Because I had been taught in business school, and the economic models show that if you invest in infrastructure,
power plants, highways, the economy grows.
And it does. Statistically.
But the money went to our own corporations, who made big profits.
And then in the end the country couldn't pay off the debt.
So we go back and say: "Hey, since you can't pay your debt,
sell your oil, gas, whatever resource, cheap to our corporations without any environmental or social regulations."
Or: "Let us built a military base in your country."
Things like that. It really became an empire.
And in the few cases where the leaders of country wouldn't accept the deals that I was offering,
people we call "jackals" went in, and these were people who either overthrew the government
or assassinated their leaders.
First class airplanes, best hotels, best restaurants, lots of women and presidents and so on.
And I was really unhappy. It was very difficult for me to get out
because I was getting what I thought was everything I wanted.
I had this incredible moment when I just realized that even though I was living what seemed to be the ideal life...
I was taking a lot of Valium, I was drinking a lot of alcohol,
I was going through psychoanalysis... I was miserable.
I stayed in that job for ten years.
And then I began to really understand how bad it was.
So I think I had to go down deep into the dark side
in order to come up into the light,
where I saw how bad the system was.
And now I can develop my life to try to change it.
I started to write a book to expose the system.
We call it "Expose", where I would interview lots of other people who had jobs like mine,
and the "jackals". And very soon I got several phone calls.
Anonymous voices threatening my life and my daughter's life.
And I was scared because I knew these people could do that.
And then soon after that I got invited out to dinner by the president of Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation,
which was one of the biggest consulting firms in the world in those days.
And he says: "John, you have a very good resume.
You were chief economist of one of our mayor rivals.
We would like to use you resume in proposals.
You don't have to do any work, and I am prepared to write you a check tomorrow for 500,000 USD."
And then he looks at me and says: "Just don't write that book."
So I'm being threatened and I'm being offered a bribe.
My daughter's being threatened, her life, and I'm being offered a lot of money.
What would you do? What would you do?
I took the money.
In 9/11 I am in the Amazon with a group of people. When 9/11 happened in New York.
What I knew was that the system I had been part of was somehow responsible in some way.
I knew I had to write the book.
I had to expose the system that was going on in the world.
This time I decided I wasn't going to tell anyone I was writing the book.
You just write the book and get it out there.
Once it's out there, if they do something to you, the book sells.
First of all, the book was rejected by 39 publishers.
All the big publishing houses said no.
It was because they were afraid of it.
And then one small house in San Francisco, Berrett-Koehler, published the book.
And immediately it went to the New York Times bestseller list.
Very quickly. And stayed there for a year and a half.
All over the world people get trapped in this system.
This corporate system.
So we live in a very, very exciting time,
when people around the world are waking up
to the fact that we must change it.
My job is to help do that. But every one of us...
... needs to be involved at some level.
So it's really going to take us all to make that happen,
Because the people at the top don't make change.
I'd like to be remembered as someone who really cared
and really tried to make a difference.
And enjoyed doing it.

Když Warner Bros. natáčeli „Strážce", konzultovali se mnou scénář.
Jednou z postav je Dr. Manhattan,
který má „kvantové" schopnosti.
Kvantová fyzika se objevuje v mnoha filmech
a někdy je v nich kvantové skoro všechno.
„Tady máš kvantový hřeben!
Tady kvantovou..."
Já mám kvantovou dýmku!
PROFESOR FYZIKY A KOMIKSOLOG
Když jsem k vysvětlování fyziky
začal používat superhrdiny…
… a to úplně veřejně…
že je potřeba, abychom my, vědci, lépe komunikovali
s veřejností.
Musíme lidem vysvětlit,
co vlastně děláme a proč to děláme.
Lidi říkají: „Proč ještě neexistuje létající auto nebo létající batoh?"
Nemáme sice ještě teleporty
ani jsme nedosáhli distorzní nadsvětelné rychlosti…
Ale máme třeba trikodéry,
takové ty krabičky, co dělají lékařské a vědecké scany.
A samozřejmě máme mobilní telefony.
by si nikdo nikdy nekoupil.
„Cože? Kde to má displej? Ono to nemá wifinu ani přehrávač?
Když zvolíme špatně a bude to mít hrozné následky,…
pak je to naše chyba, ne chyba postupu nebo vědy.
Člověka můžete zabít
stejně šutrem jako puškou nebo pumou.
V příbězích o superhrdinech se něco semele,
a vy získáte nějaké nadlidské schopnosti.

Mnoho velkých hudebníků a výrobců kytar
mi pomáhalo dojít k požadovanému zvuku.
Tehdy mi bylo jen 15 let
a dnes tu s vámi sedím a poskytuji rozhovor…
A není to mou zásluhou. Je to díky oněm částečkám.
Já je jen šířím.
Dva…
A když do konce života

ten vjem zamíøí do stejné èásti mozku,
jako by to byl zvukový vjem.
Zážitek z hudby není jen její poslech.
Vnímáme i výrazy ve tváøích okolních lidí,
jejich reakce na hudbu,
jejich tanec…
Proè tedy, ksakru, slyšící populace tvrdí,
že když neslyšíte, nemáte nárok?
To je ujetý!
abyste prostì jen byli a užívali si to.
Lidé s vadou sluchu a neslyšící to chtìjí taky zažívat!
Ale nemùžou, protože musí dennì svádìt boj o bìžnou komunikaci.
O základní lidské právo na komunikaci.
Jen si to pøedstavte!
Ráno vstanete a musíte nìkam jít.
Vy to dìláte? Tìžko.
Oni ano.
My chceme odstranit tyhle pøekážky,
chceme se podìlit.
Já chci, aby mìli pøístup k tomu, co já!
K tomu prožitku!
Pøed ètyømi mìsíci jsem pøišla o syna.
On se na mé práci podílel.
Uèila jsem ho své øemeslo.
Byl vážnì dobrý.
I pøes tuto tragédii musím pokraèovat,
protože vím, že má práce má smysl.
Silnì vìøím, že èím víc lidí si uvìdomí existenci komunity,
která je ignorovaná, diskriminovaná, opomíjená…
Èím èastìji lidem pøipomeneme,
aby se o tuto komunitu, kterou nikdo neposlouchá, zajímali,
tím více si to uvìdomí a získají jinou perspektivu.
Má to velice blahodárné úèinky pro všechny navzájem.
Je to hojivé.

My little daughter was just telling me that:
"Can't you please stay another week, I really miss you!"
I said: "As much as I miss you,
at the same time that country needs me and I have to go there, I have to do something."
The Afghanistan that I grew up in when I was a child,
I used to see my mum with a mini skirt.
My mum sitting with her friends and she would talk about a Hollywood movie
and she would talk about Alaine Delone, or Anthony Quinn or Sophia Loren...
My step brothers who were much older than we were,
I still remember the eldest one was always following the Beatles.
And he was wearing those big collars and big trousers.
It was as ordinary as any other family.
We were sleeping in the middle of the night and suddenly all we could hear was the gun shots.
And really, really massive noises.
And we were all scared
and we started screaming because we haven't heard those voices in the past.
Suddenly my father just rushed and he took us all into a basement in our house.
I remember my father was fiddling with the radio to listen and he couldn't hear anything.
He was quite concerned and he said: "Something much more serious may have happened."
Finally he just said: "Oh my god, there is a coup d'Etat."
Russian forces physically came to Afghanistan and they invaded.
And then unfortunately it also gave
a golden opportunity for Western countries and America
to take revenge on Russia in Afghanistan.
And this was the time that people could get killed by Communists and could disappear
for listening to BBC, for reading a foreign newspaper
or having a political book,
or by Mujahedeen groups that were supported by the West and the USA.
What I really saw was that people were simply caught between hard and rock.
It didn't last long, then the Russian forces withdrew from Afghanistan
and a civil war started.
Fighting started street to street, home to home.
My uncle, he was a surgeon in one of the hospitals,
he just told us how they had to do operations with torches because there wasn't any electricity.
And because they didn't have anaesthetics,
they had to operate everything, except for amputations, without anaesthetics.
And he said: "The only thing we do is we just put something in the mouth of the person
to not chew his teeth or not to...
... and then a few other people would hold him or her
and then you do the operation and remove the shrapnels or bullets or anything."
And this was also the time in Kabul
when our home was hit by a rocket
and it killed my youngest brother.
Then my family decided that they wanted to leave the country.
As a journalist, because I have seen so much happening in my country,
and as a journalist I have covered so many stories,
and I have seen the suffering of people and I have seen the suffering of my own family,
so it turned me to become a human rights defender.
The more I suffered the more it made me determined that I should fight for justice.
In 2002 I am practically working on human rights issues in Afghanistan.
I am documenting, reporting and I am speaking out against whatever happens in Afghanistan.
I have been fighting against many powerful people in my country and also internationally.
I have been fighting against vice-presidents, against ministers, against the members of the parliament,
and even against the International community. Against NATO, against America, Pakistan, Iran, India
and whoever is supporting these groups that are creating lots of bloodshed in my country.
I am standing against all of them.
Sometimes my children just tell me:
"Why are you doing that? Why would you put your life at risk?
Nothing will change and you're not able to change anything."
But what I really believe is that I would like to continue being a small mosquito
and I think whenever I buzz in their ear and make their sleep bad,
I feel good. They know that I am here and buzzing.
One day there will be peace, there will be justice
and the Afghans will be able to go back,
and this is what I really hope and this is what I'm fighting for.

I was in my teens when I figured that no money means no freedom.
That is not right, but unfortunately, that's reality.
So my goal was to make money first.
Having money meant I was free to decide what to do.
Then I could start doing things I considered important.
Things related to justice, science and rational thinking.
Ten, fifteen years ago, I perceived the world differently.
I believed that everything happens accidentally and thinking
may have some influence but our sense and intuition are irrelevant.
And it backfired on me.
It was in August 2004.
Our company RSJ went bankrupt.
We lost all our money in one day.
And I remember that my intuition
had been telling for months that something's been wrong.
That as market makers we captured too large market position.
But I convinced myself that all calculations were accurate
and I refused to listen to my intuition.
And it turned out to be a faulty calculation.
As the society went through different stages of development...
In past two centuries people held on to pure rational, scientific thinking.
Yes, leaving thinking out and just following heart is bad too...
That's another extreme.
Some people say: "I don't ponder, I let my senses guide me."
That may work, but not always.
For me, the key to the thing is
what I call rational thinking. It can be mathematics too.
I believe, mathematics is the framework of the universe, of our existence.
Because it's objective.
Now having the rational thinking we can add our emotions, our sensitivity...
... and all our creations.
Having the sturdy framework gives us space for creation.
We can work on beauty, values and space that are supported by it.
Today I strongly believe in connecting our rational thinking
with our senses, emotions and intuition
and using it accordingly.
Which means pursuing what we feel is good
but analyzing it, thinking it through at the same time.
Intuition can sometimes fail us.
If we manage such a synergy, it's something powerful
that can help anyone.

Voices of Meltingpot | Erik Iversen - Duration: 3:06.
Od mých šesti do deseti let mě nezajímalo nic než hokej.
Hrál jsem profi ligu.
UČITEL A TERAPEUT
To mě zastavilo.
