Welcome to one of the most wonderful places I've ever been to
I'm currently in Sweden. More precisely in Immeln – a small village close to a beautiful lake, that I'm gonna show you in a few seconds
The accommodation is called 'VIPP hotel' or 'VIPP shelter'. It's a special kind of hotel where you stay by yourself
but you have the luxurious feel of staying in a hotel & now it's time to show you around!
We start outside the cabin that you enjoy the view. The house is directly located at the lake.
And one special aspect is that the house is designed to be very open and compact.
Up there is the bed, I'm gonna show you this from inside in a moment.
And now it's time to go inside
When you step inside you have this beautiful view over the lake.
And I can imagine how beautiful it may look during summertime when everything is green and with the direct access to the lake.
Here you have a small entrance, that is super bright due to the skylights
Here you have the bathroom, I'll show you that later.
And when you pull the ladder, you can climb up to the bed.
The bed is super cozy, because it's closed on three sides, but has the huge skylight on the top and two windows that face the lake.
And you can open the blinds with a remote.
And back downstairs you find on the left side a nice lounge area
where you can relax. And the couch is super comfy, even though it may look a bit hard, but it's actually perfect
It's perfect for reading a book during the day or at night and to relax
and you have this fantastic view!
On the right side you have a fireplace
that makes it nice warm and comfy. But you also have underfloor heating, so you can even walk barefoot during wintertime.
and the fire gives a very special atmosphere
and now we are coming to the – how I find – most special area of the house: the kitchen and the dining area
it's just 100% my taste when it comes to interior design, it simply looks amazing!
and even though the interior design is pretty dark, together with the open glass fronts, it is still super bright and it gives the whole place an elegant touch
it's just beautiful
and it's even possible to purchase these kitchens for your own house or flat.
Since there is no room service in this place, we were wondering what we could prepare,
but the kitchen is so well equipped, that you can prepare any meal. There is an oven,...
a coffee machine, a milk frother,...
a huge fridge and even a freezer
a stove of course, but even things like...
a toaster, a food scale and a blender. So everything is there that you need to prepare a whole menu.
and then you can enjoy your meal at this nice dining table.
Another special thing is, that even all the kitchenware is designed by VIPP and you can purchase it, too.
That's pretty cool, that they didn't just use standard interior items, but designed everything by themselves.
And of course the VIPP house is mentioned in many interior magazines & books.
Here you can see, how it looks like during summertime, you can directly jump into the lake :)
Another really cool aspect about this house is, that it's possible to open the whole window front.
of course, now it would be a bit cold, but...
you can open both sides
and you can hear the water from the lake, and especially in summer I imagine it to be simply amazing...
to step out of the window and you are directly at the water.
You can go for a swim or you can rent a canoe – even now during winter.
It's just wonderful here.
To get here it makes sense to have/rent a car.
I could imagine that there's another way to get here from Kristianstad, since this is only about 20 km away. But most convenient would be to get here by car.
But because it is so far away from everything, you can also enjoy the peace and silence.
In Kristianstad you can also find grocery stores, so it's easy to buy groceries on the way to the shelter.
So here you can just walk out of the house...
down to the water
where you have your own boat bridge
and some kind of a mini beach ;)
and then you can just enjoy the view over the lake and the peaceful atmosphere
Here you can see the house from the other side, I can't say it enough: just beautiful!
Last but not least we gonna have a look into the bathroom
here is a huge rain shower
apart from that everything is pretty simple but stylish
they also provide cosmetic products, that make you feel like you are in a spa :)
Yeah and there's not so much more to tell about the bathroom:)
There is just one funny thing: there's a door that brings you outside
where you can also find the firewood
And this was my room tour of the VIPP shelter in Sweden – just a magical place!
I can totally recommend this place, even though it is a bit more expensive, but it's totally worth the money!
And because it is such a special and peaceful place, you feel so relaxed even after only two days here.
