Jaguar I-PACE reloaded! Nach Software Update doch ein TESLA Killer? - Duration: 6:15.

Here we go again. Another nextmove test video with the Jaguar I-PACE.

Same color as last time but this time a different car with even a different software.

We do have the final software on our car. Last time we had a car with beta software installed.

Today we want to test the consumption of the I-PACE.

We drive around Leipzig and test the consumption at 130 kph (81 mph).

I will explain the external conditions once I am driving.

The car is on winter tires on 20 inch wheels. The car is almost fully charged. Let's roll!

So we are driving on the Autobahn on our test track around Leipzig.

We have tested several electric cars on this track at several speed levels.

For example the Tesla Model 3 (LR, RWD) and the BMW i3s.

Now we are testing the I-PACE at 130 kph (81 mph).

The reason is that we tested the car in late summer at 130 kph (81 mph) against a Tesla Model X for about 50 km (31 mi).

Thus we measured a reference value of the pre-series software. But the car had 22 inch wheels.

Presumably, both factors led to a rather high consumption (link in video description).

Now we are driving on 20 inch wheels with winter tires. Outside temperature is 8 degree Celsius (46 degree Fahrenheit).

In order to be as close to the summer conditions, I have now turned off the heating.

Only seat and steering wheel heating are switched on – but the consumption is neglect able.

Usually we test under real world conditions, that means with heating and tell you in the video the temperature level.

This time without heating, in order to compare the consumption with the summer value.

Regarding the values I see in the display I don't say anything yet.

The speedometer accuracy is always part of our test videos.

The Model 3 shows a deviation of 1 to 2 kph. The BMW i3s was around 2 to 2.5 kph.

And the I-PACE at 130 kph shows a GPS value of only 124 to 125 kph, I measures at several positions in the car.

Nevertheless, I will stay at 130 kph. I use cruise and distance control and lane keeping assist.

Lane assist works very well. We have low traffic, so no additional consumption due to breaking and acceleration.

Let's drive for a little while and then take a look at the consumption value.

These are the parameters of our consumption test, now with the regular software of a standard Jaguar I-PACE.

The car has been run in, above 600 km (373 mi) are on the clock.

Well: 30 kWh/100 km consumption at 130 kph (81 mph), although we were actually a bit slower than 130 kph.

There were some construction areas with speed limits, no heavy traffic,

no kick-downs, no strong accelerations – nothing that would negatively impact the consumption.

You see, summer or winter, 20 or 22 inch wheels, beta or new software:

The Jaguar I-PACE is not a long distance champion, due to the high consumption.

The car is an apparition, the car looks good, the car is an eye-catcher.

But the car is not streamlined enough. That means on long distance trips it is certainly not a Tesla fighter.

5 Used Cars You Should Never Buy - Duration: 8:45.

rev up your engines, today I'm gonna talk about five used cars that you should

never buy if you value your money, and your sanity, now to begin with I'm

talking about normal cars that normal people will be buying use, I'm not

talking about luxury cars like Range Rovers that I tell nobody ever to buy a

used Range Rover, I'm talking about normal cars that average people would

buy, and over the years I hate it when I have my own customers not know any

better and buy one of these horrible cars, and then they have nothing but

problems with them, now the first car I advise you

not to buy, is a 2014 Mini, now minis are really a bad combination,

you have the expensive parts of a BMW made in England, the Germans of course are

known for high technology that's very expensive to repair when it breaks and the

English are known for cars that just flat-out break, now with my own customers

who bought minis, I've seen engines blow I've seen electrical wiring short out

because they use too thin of a gauge of wire to save money and then it overheats

and then the wiring connectors all start to short out and sometimes even the

wires themselves start to touch because the plastic coating melts and then they

short out when the coating melts and the copper touches copper, so as cute as they

may look, stay away from buying a used mini, now the next car not to buy used is

the 2015 Volkswagen Beetle, now I've talked about beetles before the old ones in the

50s and 60s were great air-cooled cheap machines to get you from here to there and

lasts a long time, but the new beetles that's another story entirely, I've had

customers with new beetles have to put in new automatic transmissions that

costs five, six thousand dollars and up have air conditioning electrical

problems, it's a good idea to stay away from buying a used beetle these days,

unless it's an old one from the 60s because their high technology and high

cost of parts, completely against what the original beetle was, makes them cars

that cost a lot to fix and they tend to break a lot, a lot of plastic parts in

them are really cheap and they crack and break all of my customers that bought them, they

were all dissatisfied in the end, none of them

were really happy, now the next used car to stay away from is the 2013 Chevy

spark, now the Chevy spark is a subcompact car, one of the larger sub

compacts, they're extremely poorly made vehicles, there are so many better made

ones, like the Toyotas or the Honda's there'd be no reason for you to buy a

used chevy spark, in my own customers cars who bought them

I saw excessive oil consumption, sometimes the engine would just go out

and tirely and stopped running and had to be replaced, and this is with people

who change the oil and filter, it's not like somebody who just drives it and

never changes the oil, they just weren't all that well built, I'll give you a

comparison, years ago I had a customer who had a Toyota and he brought it to me

cuz it had stopped running and it was a two year old vehicle, it had a hundred

thousand miles on it, I checked it out and said,

oh it needed a fuel pump to put a fuel pump on, but I said and man your engine it's all

oily and dirty, it's leaking all over the place, what's going on this is a Toyota, and

he said well you know I drive so many miles as a salesman, I never changed the

oil in this Toyota, now it had 100,000 miles in it and = he never changed the oil,

but the car had ran that long until the fuel pump just happened to have gone out,

so though he had never changed the oil in a

hundred thousand miles, the Toyota was still going, well I got customers with

these Chevy's and hey they changed the oil regularly and they burn oil like mad

anyway even though they were being changed, and aside from that their rattle

buckets, they rattle like mad, they're very poorly constructed, stay away from the

Chevy spark, you want a subcompact hey get a Toyota or Honda they're gonna last

tons longer, now the next used car not to buy, is the 2014 Mazda cx-9

I had a customer buy one use, his wife liked it cuz it was zippy and they

thought it looked cool, and yeah I gotta admit Mazdas look cool, but that's

only on the outside, they made the mistake of buying a used one, had a

hundred thousand miles on it, about two weeks later the engine started going out

it was running poorly, I started checking it out

I said we're gonna have to rebuild the engine,

the cams and everything are just coming apart, now there's so many little SUVs to

choose from, there'd be no reason to buy one of these Mazdas, they have problems

with the windows not staying up, even though they're not that old of a car,

they have interior problems, hey there is such a large amount of good medium-sized

SUVs out there, there's really no reason to buy this Mazda, and the odd thing that

I always found out about Mazda was, man their replacement parts can be super

expensive, it's kind of crazy but over the years even the last 30 years, when I

work on a Mazda, the parts can be four or five times what they are for an

equivalent Toyota or Honda, and if you're buying a used one, hey things are gonna

break, you don't want a car that has expensive parts when they do break down,

part of the problem in the past anyways was that they made a lot of models and

they didn't sell that many of each one so there wasn't much of an aftermarket

like with a Toyota or Honda, I could get good aftermarket parts, with the Mazda it

was always, either trying to use one from a junkyard or go to the dealer and pay

$500 for something that was $100 for a Toyota or Honda, so whatever used car

you're looking, at take a look into the parts availability and costs and the

aftermarket for that particulars model because if yours doesn't have much of an

aftermarket, and you're stuck with buying expensive dealer only parts, hey my

suggestion is look at a different model of used car, now the last vehicle I advise

you never to buy used, is a 2013 Jeep Compass, now Chrysler certainly not known

for quality over the years, the Jeep Compass was basically their attempt to

make a cheaper Jeep that would cost less so they could try to sell more to more

people, if you ask me they went too cheap ,their

trim is very cheap, the interior has a tendency of falling apart, the dashes

will crack in the sun after a short period of time, they just went too cheap

on these things to try to keep the price down a little, so they could try to sell

more of them, I had a customer with one of these things, when they were driving

taking a corner, the car turned off in the wheel locked up, this is on a vehicle

that had 17,000 on it, and then when they took it to the dealer

of course it was under warranty, they said they couldn't find anything wrong

with it, well my customer worried that, oh what if

that happens again I take a corner and the steering wheel locks up and the vehicle

turns off, that's dangerous, so they got rid of the thing, they said I don't want to be

driving this thing around anymore, so my warning is, don't get in his position

don't ever buy one of these things, he bought it new, certainly don't buy a

used one, now I was a kid jeeps were made by willys-overland

they were solid little vehicles, I mean they used them in world war two, they went

all over the places and some of those are still

running, but since Chrysler's taking over and then Fiat took over Chrysler, Hey the

quality just is not there, Jeep has been living off a name for decades as far as

I'm concerned, if you were to get a Jeep hey get a refurbished one from the 60s

or 70s, those are solid built vehicles take the Jeep renegade, the one they

advertise, that's basically a four-wheel drive Fiat Panda, they made those for a really

long time, but they're just little bitty things they have nothing to do with

actual jeeps, but now they're selling it as a Jeep, and people think, oh I got a

Jeep, no you basically got a Fiat Panda sometimes people just keep trying to

suck more money out of of a name to try to get blood from a stone, and as far as

I'm concerned, that's what Chrysler Fiat is doing, they're just using the name

Jeep and sticking it on stuff that has no historical relation to Jeep at all,

they just put the name on a Fiat and call it a Jeep, so now you know five used

cars not to buy, and yes there's plenty more out there, but certainly stay away from

these five if you value your money, so if you never want to miss another one of my

Intro to Maya: UI Tour - Duration: 11:06.

Hi there and welcome to Maya.

So have you just installed your shiny new software and fired'er up,

only to find that you're not quite what to do next?

Well even though the interface may look intimidating at first,

it's really not so bad once you understand how each section of the UI breaks down.

In general there's 3 main areas:

At the top you'll find menus and buttons for Maya's many tools and commands…

In the middle you'll find the Viewport, which displays the objects in your scene,

as well as tools and panels specifically designed to modify those objects…

…and at the bottom you'll find Animation and scripting controls.

Let's start back up here with the menu bar,

which is probably easy to understand if you've used almost any other software before.

In here you'll find almost all of Maya's tools and commands, neatly arranged:

from general stuff like Opening and Saving files, to Undoing or Redoing edits,

to more specific task-based commands.

Something a little more unique to Maya is that you can change the task-based menus

that appear here via this dropdown box.

Each of these menu sets is designed to cater to the specific needs

of each of these workflows, so you'll want to set this based on what you plan on doing next.

Additionally, shortcuts to many of the most useful commands can be found here

in the shelf represented by these colorful icons.

So for example, clicking the basic cube icon here creates a cube in my scene

– exactly as choosing Create > Polygon Primitives > Cube would have.

Like menu sets, shelves are also organized by discipline, except they're even more specific.

For example, Curves/Surfaces, Poly Modeling, and Sculpting

can all be considered "Modeling" tasks.

However, shelves don't change automatically with your Menu Sets,

making it possible to use an FX menu set with a modeling shelf like you see here.

If you're unsure what an icon means, you can hover over it

and check down here in the Help Line…

…or just wait for the tool-tip to appear right on the mouse cursor.

Both the Help Line and Tooltips are extremely useful,

so I recommend keeping an eye on them

at least until you're comfortable with all of Maya's bells and whistles.

Finally, there's the Status Line nestled right in between the menus and shelves.

This line mostly tells you the on/off state of various modes,

like Object vs Component mode, Snapping, Mirroring, and so on

– though it does also contain shortcuts to some basic file and rendering commands too.

Of these though, I recommend paying special attention to Object and Component modes

– AKA green selection mode and blue selection mode.

Object mode is for selecting an entire object at once,

while component mode is for selecting smaller sub-parts of that object.

This'll be important later when we start playing around with position and shape.

The last thing I'll say here is that you can use F8 to swap between the two as well.

Moving on, this entire middle section of the UI is dedicated to viewing

and interacting with objects in the Viewport.

To navigate the Viewport, hold the Alt key while dragging any of the mouse buttons.

You can also press F to automatically frame a selected object,

or A to frame everything in the scene regardless of selection.

The Panel Toolbar and menu give access to all kinds of view options,

like Wireframe vs Shaded views,

lights, shadows, smoothing, and other Viewport-specific quality settings.

You can also hold the right mouse button over objects to bring up the marking menu,

which contains shortcuts to all sorts of things you can do to that object.

Holding Shift or Ctrl as well will also bring up different versions of this menu.

Left of the Viewport you'll find the Toolbox,

which contains tools for selecting or transforming objects.

So if I select the cube then I can activate the Move Tool to move it around,

the Rotate Tool to rotate it,

or the Scale Tool to scale it.

The last slot here will change depending on my most recently used tool.

So, for example, if I activate the Multi-Cut Tool to add an edge to my cube...

then switch back to the Move Tool, you'll see I can quickly get back to the Multi-Cut Tool here.

And you can also double-click any of these Toolbox icons to bring up their tool settings.

Just to reiterate an earlier point, using many of these tools

in Object mode vs Component mode makes a big difference.

In Component (blue) mode, I can select and move individual vertices,

which changes the cube's shape.

Whereas in Object (green) mode, I move the entire object at once.

Knowing when to use which is an important skill you'll develop over time.

These four buttons underneath the Toolbox are my Panel Layouts.

They determine how my Viewport is split up.

Choices include the default perspective camera,

a simultaneous 4-View of front, top, side, and perspective cameras,

a similar 2-View version,

and finally the Outliner which shows me a list of all the objects in my scene.

Additionally, you can use Spacebar to quickly enlarge views...

...or return to the previous one.

To the right of the Viewport are various editors.

The Channel Box and Attribute Editor contain the various attributes

associated with a selected object like its exact position, number of subdivisions, and so on.

Both of them are broken into sections, like these tabs in the Attribute Editor...

or these headings in the Channel Box.

It's important to note that both these editors show the same attributes,

just in different forms, so use the one that's most comfortable for you.

In general, the Attribute Editor is the more user friendly of the two,

with plenty of sliders and widgets for editing values.

Meanwhile, the Channel Box lets you see and edit animatable attributes more quickly.

If you accidentally close one or both of them...

...you can always find them up here in the top-right.

There are also other editors here, like the Tool Settings Editor, which I showed earlier…

…or the Modeling Toolkit, which contains a wealth of useful modeling tools.

Lastly there's the Character Controls, which are specifically for creating animatable skeletons.

You probably won't want to fool around with this one until you're more comfortable in Maya.

Finally, this brings us to these two strips at the bottom.

The first two deal entirely with animation.

like the Time Slider and playback controls,

which are likely familiar to anyone who's used a video player before.

From here you can play, stop, rewind, and manually scrub through time.

It's important to note that Maya measures time in frames though, not seconds.

The default frame rate equates 24 frames with one second of playback.

So these 120 frames actually represent only 5 realtime seconds of footage.

You can change the frame rate via the dropdown here,

and it's generally a good idea to settle on one before you begin your project.

Once you have, you can change the total number of frames in the scene...

...as well as the range represented by the Time Slider.

Other stuff you can change here include looping,

performance-enhanced caching, auto-recording animation keyframes,

and more via the pop-up preferences window.

There's also some animation and character layer stuff, but that's a bit more advanced.

Finally, at the very bottom is the Command Line,

where you can issue direct commands to Maya.

These are the same commands that all of Maya's other buttons and widgets use too.

So for example, if I move this object over and then enter the polyCube command...

...then Maya creates a cube, just like I made earlier when I clicked the Cube button.

Maya also supports Python commands at the flick of a switch.

And has a full-fledged Script Editor for more complex scripts.

And that's the Maya UI in a nutshell.

The only other thing to note is that all these UI components are modular;

they can be undocked and moved around just by dragging these dotted areas.

You can then re-dock them wherever these blue lines appear.

One way Maya makes use of this is via these different workspaces in the top right.

Just like the menu sets I showed you at the beginning of this video,

each of these workspaces rearranges the UI based on their respective tasks,

hiding things you don't need while enlarging the things you do.

If you ever need to reset one of these workspaces to the default

– maybe because you lost a panel accidentally or got your UI into a weird customized state –

you can do that from this dropdown too.

In general, the default Maya Classic workspace is your one-stop shop for everything,

and the one you'll see most often in tutorials as well.

So hopefully now you feel a bit more at home in the Maya UI.

almost all year out, and after we have also some tables inside the grocery store

for really cold weather, or when it is raining, and you can eat inside.

F-350 Dually Black Ops Edition with Amber & White LED Safety Lights - Duration: 3:55.

How are you doing thanks for watching this is George with wicked warnings here with an

awesome build a big bad f-350 dually customized by Ford and a company called

black ops and then was brought here for lighting through a local Ford dealer

we've got our LIN-6 up on the top of the grille under the hood we've got our

TIR-3 in the fog pocket bezel as well as under the rear taillight it's also

featuring our wicked warnings mirror mod kit a little bit better front on shot

there you go you can see that mirror mod there I know we should've did the

ceilings believe me if I could've I would have squirrel shot all right let

me turn around straight back that is a nice azz look at them tires out back

we're running our LED HAW DUO we did have to remove the two factory LEDs that

are normally mounted in the cargo there is a video on that in order to put a

strobe in that third brake light such as this on a lariat with an LED in the

factory cargo location you just have to remove the little circuit boards to make

room for the strobe on the reverse lights we have a custom shop mod right

now then I'm gonna try to make available for sale to wig wag the factory reverse

lights there's no way to get a strobe that it's worth while inside the factory

reverse light at this point but wig wagging the factory doesn't cause any

damage and gives you a nice white alternating flash you can see here we've

got our TIR three under the rear taillight and the popular spot there and

that's synchronized with the front all four of the TIR-3s are actually

synchronized together so the corner lighting per se on all the sides side

facing flashes all at the same time and then we've got the remaining pattern set

up the way we did

in this particular truck these are all fed off the factory auxiliary switches

and we've set up one of those auxiliary switches to run the steady burn feature

of the cargo light so the customer does still have the ability to have the cargo

light as a bed light as you can see here you can steady burn the cargo light at

any time with or without the strobe operation and yes the reverse lights

will work as they work normally if you put the truck in reverse the lights are

gonna go steady I'll show you hang on ok just so everybody's clear they're

strobing right now and as you can plainly hear by a ford's audible warning

and the door open there it's in reverse and their steady burning and oh no it's

gonna roll away no this behemoth isn't gonna roll

anywhere back to the park position and back to the disco action and if we

turned off the steady burn up top we return back to full party on mode so
