The Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights is responsible for
administering and enforcing the standards and may conduct investigations and compliance
reviews.
There are civil penalties per violation, but the penalties can be stacked if there are
multiple violations with respect to a single individual.
The penalties also depend upon the type of violation: Civil penalties can range from
$100 to $50,000 or more per violation, up to a maximum of $1.5 million dollars per year.
Criminal penalties can range up to $250,000 and ten years in prison for knowingly and
improperly disclosing information or obtaining information under false pretenses, with higher
penalties reserved for violations designed for financial gain or malicious harm.
State laws can also inflict fines to the practice or the business.
So let's go over the details of what the cost of a data breach is to your business
or your practice.
You can incur fines up to $1.5 Million per violation or year from HHS.
You can have Federal Trade Commission fees of up to $16,000 per violation.
You can also have class action lawsuits from $1,000 to half a million dollars since no

you got to do is take out the back seat or in the trunk take off the rug and then
there's a little round cover and you take off the 8-10 bolts and then inside
you just pop out assembly, change the filter and put it back in, now if you do
have to drop the gas tank to change the fuel filter, most guys you just say to heck
with it, I'll leave it in and when the pump goes out if it does, I'll change the
whole thing, that's what most people do these days
DW Scotty what's the downside of buying a Duramax over powerstroke, I know you
said the powerstroke lasts longer but is it just a motor or overall, overall
GM quality has just been going downhill for a long time, and the Ford truck
quality actually lately over the last decade and half especially is

times you're better rebuilding the engine too, cuz if you got an older
engine that's what an 03 it's 16 years old, a lot of times you really need
to rebuild the engine if you're gonna get a lot more horsepower or it's gonna

he's fixing it up and gonna get it all painted and fixed, and he's gonna use it as a
weekend fun car, that's great you know, you can do that, but don't buy a car like
that and think you're gonna drive it every day and put twenty thousand miles
a year and not have all kinds of problems with
them, cuz even back in a day you had to work on them when you put that kind of
